Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Polynoos uses cookies and similar technologies on polynoos.com (the “Site”). It supplements our Privacy Policy and is provided in line with the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy framework (Greek Law 3471/2006 as amended).

01. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (local storage, pixel tags, SDKs) can serve comparable purposes. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all such technologies.

Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them). Cookies set by polynoos.com are first-party; cookies set by other services we embed are third-party.

02. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function (e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice). These do not require consent under EU law.
  • Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.
  • Marketing — used to deliver and measure advertising on third-party platforms. Set only with your consent.

03. Cookies we set

The table below lists representative cookies in each category. The exact inventory may vary as we evolve the Site; the categories and consent model are stable.

Cookie / tokenPurpose · provider · duration
polynoos_consentRemembers your consent choices on the cookie banner. First-party. 12 months. Strictly necessary.
_ga, _ga_*Distinguishes visitors and tracks sessions. Google Analytics 4. 13 months. Analytics — consent required.
_gidDistinguishes visitors over short windows. Google Analytics. 24 hours. Analytics — consent required.
_gcl_auMeasures conversions from Google services. 90 days. Marketing — consent required.
fbp / _fbpMeta (Facebook) advertising pixel for retargeting and conversion measurement. 90 days. Marketing — consent required.
li_*LinkedIn Insight Tag for B2B campaign measurement. 30 days–2 years. Marketing — consent required.

Where a row above lists a third-party provider, that provider acts as an independent or joint controller for the data collected via their cookie; their privacy notice applies in addition to ours.

04. Your choices

You can manage cookies in three ways:

  • Consent banner — the banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or customise by category. You can change your preferences at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in our footer.
  • Browser controls — most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Doing so may break parts of the Site that rely on strictly necessary cookies.
  • Provider-level opt-outs — Google Analytics: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Meta: account settings > Ad preferences. LinkedIn: settings > Advertising.

We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law.

05. Visitors outside the EEA

Where we serve users outside the European Economic Area, we still apply this policy as our baseline. Local rules (UK ICO, California CPRA, etc.) may grant you additional rights; contact us to exercise them.

06. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged via the consent banner.
